All of the new LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) projectors out there can sometimes be confusing.

For most people the confusion comes from the fact that there are so many specifics that befuddle the consumer when window shopping. One of the best LCD projectors on the market right now is Panasonic’s New PT AE 3000. Over the years Panasonic has released some of the best projectors.

For those of you out there who have not shopped around before for LCD projectors this is a very reasonable price. Before most projectors have cost three-sometimes five-times as much as that. It also includes the lamp which in itself is 400 dollars. Don’t let the price make you think that it is not good as well. If anybody really wants to create a theatre-style environment this is a reasonable price. You don’t have to spend an arm and a leg to really maximize your viewing experience. The AE3000 also comes with a one-year warranty (you can most likely buy an add-on warranty of two more years at you local retailer).

Before the AE2000 had a contrast of 305:1 ANSI; now the contrast is 446:1 ANSI. This increases the picture in so many ways giving you a more smooth-looking picture. With that said you can then utilize the Cinema Mode option which has three calibrations on it. Giving you more options on how you prefer to watch your movie. The Frame Creation function also adds to this experience by giving a smoother and sharper image. Most films will have a sequence where there is so much going on it can ruin the detail. Frame Creation can analyze movement between frames allowing the movie to move even smoother. Even if there is a scene with so much rapid movement this feature makes it so that your movie will not be interrupted with any delay.

The rise of video game consoles have always been a big issue. Not only is the video game industry a billion dollar industry; but it has just as many consumers. With that said who wouldn’t want to play their favorite video game console on an LCD projector like the AE3000. Frame Response is an all-new feature where you can change the speed of the frame delivery from the buffer. This comes in two modes: Normal and Fast. Normal may only have a frame delay of 3 frames, but put into Fast and that delay is cut in half with only having a delay of 1.5 frames. There still may be lip-syncing issues but that is expected with any projector really; but, if you stick the Frame Response into Fast the lip-syncing is pretty much non-existent.

It does not over complicate the process of being able to adjust your settings to the right frequency. Lens Memory allows you to not only to find your correct setting easily but it will also memorize it. Your setting will be set and not forgotten. This is good because most people would have to go out and buy an anamorphic lens, but you can avoid that with this new function.

As always the split-screen option is available. Popular as ever and readily useable it can give you the ability to re-define your screen image, and compare contrasts and looks side-by-side. Simple this function really is that all you have to do is chose the screen shot that you want to use. Use the split-screen option and frame the portion of the screen that you want to test out. Once the screens are split you can make the changes you want to the image, and see in the other image how it has changed from the original. If you like what you’ve changed; save it. If not, just erase what you’ve done and go back to normal viewing. This makes it really easy for a person who is not too tech-savvy to utilize the different options available to them.

A nice, new and smaller remote controller now comes with the AE3000. This will make people happy who deal with having a dozen remotes because of all the different devices they have. Instead of having a huge remote controller with so many buttons, that can confuse the individual, this new smaller one comes with bigger buttons and is more user-friendly.

Any electronic devices that may have to function for long periods of time require a fan to cool down the device while it is still going; so, as to avoid over-heating. These fans often make lots of noise. Fan noise is still a problem, but the AE3000 has improved this issue. The fan noise is very low even when more air seems to be compressed. In Eco-mode you can’t even hear any fan noise. It is pretty much as silent as it can get.

All around the Panasonic PT AE3000 is a very useful LCD projector that can increase your movie viewing experience as well as enhance your gaming adventures to a whole new level.
